Below table shows the year end closing Kuala Lumpur Composite Index(KLCI) of Bursa Malaysia from year 1976 to 2008.
KLCI closed at 876.75 at the last trading day of 2008, 31 December 2008 and it is 39.33 percent lower than the previous year. This mean this is the second largest drop since year 1976. The most drastic fell of KLCI is on year 1997, it was 108% lower than previous year.
What do you think of KLCI for this year? Will this year the year to accumulate the strong fundamental stocks? Will the KLCI further fall around 700?
